Post Madman series
Watching the Walking Dead, hearing talk of a new Hulk tv series, and a rumoured Wonder Woman and Batman series has got me thinking (which can be dangerous)...wouldn't it be great if Madman was developed into a tv series! Instead of trying to cram Frank's backstory, lovestory, and discovery of himself into a 2 hour movie; let the story be told at a more enjoyable pace on the TV. Adapt the whole Madman story into a series, think of the compelling television that would make. Plus, there could be an Atomics spin off series. So come on HBO or Starz or AMC, get this project a-rollin!

Wow! What an amazing idea!

It would be brilliant seeing Frank and co develop over the course of a series, or 2! My only fear would be that it would get cancelled too early on into it's run, just like all the great shows do, eg Freaks and Geeks.

that sounds cool mate,I would definitely like to see a Madman tv show, given as so many properties are becoming tv shows this would be a good idea,
we need to first get Doc's opinion, though this would be way cool,

I would love to see a television show, a movie, or even a cartoon of Frank Einstein just as long as it stayed relatively true to Mike's vision. However I do agree with Eugy; it's hard for series that are a little bit of the path from the norm to survive past a season. The one show that comes to mind which had the same kind feel as a Madman comic to me was ABC's "Pushing Daisy". It was light-hearted, bizarre, and had a genuine couple madly in love which each other (not to mention one of them, like Frank, had come back from the dead even!) Unfortunately it was too different than your standard network program so even though it had a huge fan following, it got the axe. But who knows - maybe the Snap City gang would catch on big. Got to think positive! :D

a movie would be neat to see in the theater and pop in once-in-a-while when you can convince some friends to watch it with you. but a tv show, or animated series sounds like a far better idea. the comics has been a part of my life for a long time. posters and t-shirts in every photo, every year, and countless memories of reading madman on the bus to middle school, juvenial hall, during night-shift security, and well you get the picture. a show would be something you have to plan the day or week around, gotta grab snacks at the market on the way home, while you daydream about last weeks episode all day. more often a show would have fonder memories 'that last a lifetime.' like the adam west batman series, and the animated bruce timm batman series.

I like the idea of more character-driven comics pushed toward TV rather than film as it shares the similarity of a serialized format as a medium. That being said, MADMAN would be fun. Quirky, but fun.

I feel a TV series would have to deviate from the source material some. My ideas would be to adapt the ODDITY ODYSSEY as a long-form pilot (ala Walking Dead) as Frank searches for Flem to revive Boiffard.

Develop the Frank & Flem father/son relationship.

I would hesitate to make Frank and Joe much of an item just yet at this point and allow the greater series to develop their attraction and budding relationship.

I would also maybe allow for Monstadt to survive to become more of a regular antagonist.

Mott could be realized with practical make-up (Ron Perlman anyone?) and maybe we could get more development on that best buds level too.
