 New X-Statix Comics
I read on the below link an interview with Axel Alonso. Halfway down the article he makes a reference of future Milligan/Allred X-statix stories. Did he misquote himself or are there new Mr. Sensitive stories on the horizon? http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=29381

 Re: New X-Statix Comics
Sounds like a thing they'll be doing them eventually, but nothing's set enough to even plan for re-releasing the original material (which is way past over due).
The price for the 3rd X-Statix tradepaperback is obscene.

 Re: New X-Statix Comics
This is what is actually said: Quote: Looking at questions from the fans for this week, we've got forwardnotion following up on a book Axel spoke about last week, asking "I have a question about Milligan and Allred's X-Force/X-Statix. If it is, indeed, a book that got such a glowing review, why not keep the trade paperbacks in print? I'd kill for a 2-3 volume Ultimate Collection, even. I've spent the past few years hearing about how awesome this series is, and back-issue hunting (with the prices put on those issues sometimes, especially) isn't for me. Any chance you can get your collections folks on the horn?"
Alonso: No immediate plans, but when we do, we'll tie it to new X-Statix stories by Milligan and Allred.
But…is that Doopsday on the horizon? Despite the Doopsday tease, that's a pretty non-answer that I wouldn't read too much into. All he really says is they'll collect the old material when there is new material...though I think it should probably say "if." Mike and Peter recently did a short together, but I don't believe there is any concrete plan for more on the horizon, not with the rigorous iZombie schedule.

And it appears that this may all be Marvel thumbing their nose at DC. I didn't get the reference, couldn't care less about Doomsday. (See also: Spider-Man's impending "death" for other things that make me thoroughly bored.) http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/11/13/ ... -back-too/

Death is all they have now to shake things up. I mean, I suppose they could tell a good story, but that doesn't have the aroma of cash grab that death does (frankly).

 Re: New X-Statix Comics
I'm dreading the full awfulness and horribleness of more death events.
... no, I take that back. Not dreading. "Sighing about". Ho-hum's-ville, daddio.
e=mc boring.

 Re: New X-Statix Comics
I don't dread it because I won't buy it. It's the best way to show those bastards!
I still recall angrily how I couldn't get into the comic shop by my college when Superman "died" because of the line outside. I argued with the guy at the door that I was a box customer and had no interest in Superman, and they still wouldn't let me in. As in all entertainment, you are only as big of a sucker as you allow yourself to be.

Or if I did it would've been done with either lots of bitching or with less stuff being purchased from then on out. Still, it may've been the only place in town for you, I don't know. In which case I would've continued to hold a grudge but gone until I could find someplace better. Oh yeah, as a loyal "box" customer that I am, that would've seriously pissed me off to no end.

 Re: New X-Statix Comics
I am in agreeance with you all, whenever I hear of a major character kicking the bucket,I yawn and sigh because we all know that he will be back straight away,
I don't buy into that at all,DC and Marvel should stop trying to get cash grabs with all this talk of 'death' in their titles,
I mean for March, Spiderman 'dies' or something like that,I mean seriously, does anyone believe that Marvel would kill of their flagship character ? no is the answer, and Marvel and DC wonder why their numbers are dropping according to icv2.com
tell only good stories and the readers will read them,
peace.
