 Jonathan the Procrastinator Finally Delivers!
After months and years of starting work, stopping work, rewriting, losing confidence, regaining confidence, and various other distractions and road blocks I can say with complete confidence that I will have my long-awaited comic/zine complete and ready for shipping by December. The pile of scripts I'd written and all the thumbnails I found acceptable cried out to me from their space on my desk. Work and school have been in the way for a while now, but my focus and time are available and I'm ready to deliver. The last kick to encourage me to bolt to the finish line came from the news that my current city of residence, Grand Rapids, MI, was having its first sizable comic expo. Somehow the knowledge that a show was occurring soon, and the fact that it was a show that I could attend with very little effort (no long distance travel), brought about some clarity and a desire to see what I've begun to brought to its end. So December 3rd I'll be at a local comic expo selling the book, t-shirts, and other items. December 10th I'll be at a local comic book store, Apparitions Comics, selling the same items as well as meeting, greeting, and signing. To all of you folks on the board, especially the all too kind Mike and Laura Allred, I apologize for failing to deliver this Summer. You will all be the first to receive the book when it leaves the printer. I have a very structured and orderly schedule set to finalize work, arrange printing, and then send out all shipping. Again, I'm very sorry that it's taken this long. I hope you find the material to be worth the wait. For updates and information on the book and appearances please visit my blog at http://arroweyestudios.blogspot.com/. Thank you. If you're interested, here's the flyer for my upcoming comic shop event:

Again, heart felt congratulations on this accomplishment fella! I'm positive all your hard work will be worth it and I'm delighted you're waiting on it's return from the printer.

Congratulations Jonathan! I hope this is the start of a long career full of prosperity (or is it too soon to dream past the fences?) I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait. Have a great time at the con and at the signing!

Naming important names here, but if it wasn't for you guys, Matt, Jake, Christian, Jamie, Mike and others here, and your kind words I'd be just another dreamer too afeared to show even his doodles to anyone else. My massive thanks to you awesome folk. It saddens me that we all live so far apart. Thank you very much. You can expect a signed book in the mail in the next month. I'll pull a Mike and toss in some extra promotional goodies.

Aww, you don't have to send one for free. When I can I'm glad to purchase a copy from you. Extra's are always cool but again, don't go to too much trouble. It's reward enough for me that you're getting this thing goin', fella!

No, way. I'm very thankful for you folks and all of your support. If I ever need a reminder of why I love comics and my fellow comic fans I think about you folks and this board. Hooking you up is the least I can do. I can't promise any of the stuff I send will be worth holding on to, but it's my way of saying thanks!

Congratulations, Jonathan! You've taken your first step into a much larger world, or something like that. Like what Ben Kenobi said. You know. That line. The good one from the good movie. That one. There.

Way to go, Jonathan! I hiccup with excitement!
....no, really.
It's my 'tell.' It's weird. It can get me into trouble if I hiccup at inappropriate times.

Once one slips they're done. It requires an odd tightening of the chest, staying still for a while, and shallow breathing. This isn't really important, but I hope it helps.
