Batman really delivered. i hadn't seen Capullo's art in about 10 years, but he draws this book like an unleashed animal. plus i love most everything Scott Snyder writes.
i liked Wonder Woman as well, but it seemed like more of a part of a larger chapter than any sort of reboot/ strarting point

Really? Because I thought Batwoman was tastefully done. Maybe they could have left out the scenes of her changing but even that was very PG. I mean, superheroes DO have to change out of their sweaty costumes. However I can see how some readers might be offended. It was tastefully done compared to Catwoman and Red Hood, but in the context of looking at all three comics, it just makes me question editorial: "Ok, make sure they're naked." "How come I don't have to draw Batman naked?" "Batman doesn't have to go naked to sell comics, girls do." Essentially, I'm over-reacting to one comic because of what two other books did. And hypocritically so, since I likes it! (Batwoman, that is)

This response (in comic form) to the whole Red Hood comic is simple and cute: http://itswalky.tumblr.com/post/10676670525

Overall I feel that my mild interest was too much interest. The content in general was not as fresh or different as I felt that comic fans were led to believe. Thanks for the pseudo-"jumping on points," DC Comics.
Action was the only title that really made me want to come back for future issues. I really appreciated Jeff Lemire's contributions. David Finch's work on Dark Knight made me rush back to the comic shop to trade the damned book in (first time I've felt compelled to do such a thing). Swamp Thing was satisfying. Everything else that I dared to read was pretty okay.
Funny thing is that the week after the first batch of #2's I was right back to seeking out and buying obscure indy books, completely ignoring the offerings of the "Big Two." It wasn't a conscious decision. I just gravitate to books that are interesting and unusual. Today I had to defend my purchase of Reid Fleming #1 and Daniel Clowes' "Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron." I was also happy to find the CBLDF's Annual. Go grotesque, naked Elephantman paper dolls and the Craig Thompson short!

Our shop is still seeing strong interest in the relaunch titles. But the owner expects a drop off after the holidays. Of the titles I wasn't getting prior (The GL titles), Action is the only one holding my interest as well. I think Grant Morrison took the memo to rethink the Superman concept to heart and it's paying off.

i'm evidently a huge mark- i'm reading something like 9 or 10 of the new books and loving every single one so far. Also, is anyone elses shop doing the buy back program on these? my shop will buy back whichever books you didn't love as long as you buy the first 3 issues, keep them in resell able condition and keep your receipts.

My local shop doesn't have an official program but they've been willing to let me trade. I helped them get extra copies of the first printings of Action, Batgirl, and Aquaman (which they super-marked up) so I'd hope they could help me unload some unlikable titles. That's a very cool program. I hope that store gets a lot of business for that consideration.

Re: All right - let's hash this out, everyone. The New 52
My shop buys books anyway, but it depends on need. So the shop may need Action #1, but if there is no call for Red Hood (let's kick 'em while they're down I suppose), then they'll take a pass. But that is a good program to get people trying the books. I still suspect that they're building in an escape hatch just in case this starts to crash and burn. Either after the first of the year, next summer or two years from now. But right now as far as the titles I read, very little has changed, and like I've said again and again, this new Superman in Action is the best Superman story I've read in ages.
What's also a bit interesting are the creative changes happening already. Dan Jurgens and Keith Giffen on Superman from #7 on and Gail Simone leaving Firestorm. Any other shakeups going on in the titles? Superman #1 was just these impenetrable blocks of text and I still can't understand why Superman needs armor (but I guess we'll find out in Action). The new creative team on Superman might improve things, but I'm not sure.
Not sure why I'm so focused on the Superman titles. I guess it's because they're supposed to be DC's flagship titles. But Superman is the Yin to Action's Yang. One is great, the other is just...so-so.
