I've only ever heard the theme myself. I have it on a 45. I even think I have the novelization somewhere. But I dare not open it lest its eldritch words attempt to ensnare me and drive me to madness. Watching the actual episode? You are made of sterner stuff than I, sir. I fear the televisual recording of it and shun it like the devil himself!

I'm looking forward to a season which looks to give us what might be the most intense, character-changing story line in many a year and incarnation.

There is not another show I've grown up with that has kept me as excited as I am for Doctor Who. Great stuff!

It was a Christmas episode, right? That thing was awesome!

I was unaware they did a 2-part mini episode for this year's Red Nose Day. So for those of you who were like me, I present to you a very funny episode of the eleventh doctor!

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51JtuEa_ ... re=related
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkmiefoR ... ure=relmfu

"Oh RORY!!"

(And I promise I'll refrain from the youtube links for awhile since it seems that's all I've been posting in this topic *lol*)

Holy smokes, that was fast. It turns out the DVDs and Blu-Rays of "Doctor Who: Season Six - Part 1" are coming out on July 19th!

http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Sixth- ... 299&sr=1-1

Also of note, "Torchwood: The Complete UK Series" is also being released on that day for both DVD and Blu-Ray.

I'm not sure what I think of this. I guess the purist in me would rather wait for the entirety of season six to air and be collected. Then again, the price is much better than the $70 or so price range the season sets have been in the past.

New packaging style as well it seems. The lower pricing may also be part of the strategy for breaking the season in two so the cost is a bit lower per chunk of episodes. However, what extras are on these discs?

But, the big question of the week is - what did everyone thing of this week's episode? I think that young up and comer, Neal Gaiman I think his name was, has quite a future in writing for television. Maybe he'll branch out into other writing like novels or maybe comics too. But if he wants I'm sure he'd get some sort of deal at the BBC to write maybe a sitcom. Something like Friends, perhaps. ;)

I'm pretty sure the rest of the guys are like me and hesitant to post our thoughts on individual episodes until we know it's aired everywhere. Are you a week behind the rest of us and if so, does that mean the pirate episode aired over there last week? Would we be able to share our thoughts on that?

Regardless, the latest episode is definately very Gaiman. Don't worry if it's really confusing at first - it will all make sense before it's done. ;)

As for Torchwood, the new season airs over here in July on the Starz network. I've heard it's around 13-14 episodes, although that could be a little off.
