Rumors were swirling around a week or so ago that Marvel is planning on releasing an X-Statix Omnibus. I saw Mike retweet someone, but I've not been able to find anything to substantiate the rumor. Has anyone heard anything?

It was in a thread on the MarvelMasterworks.com message board where posters could ask David Gabriel of Marvel's collected editions department if we'd be seeing specific stuff. Somebody asked about an X-Statix hardcover collection and the answer from Gabriel was that one is being planned or will be.

Thanks, Matt! I'm excited to see what details emerge. Hopefully it'll have the full run, including those X-Force issues.

There are a lot of great collections coming out this summer/fall. I think I'm most excited about the Bone color collection and the Kamandi Omnibus (other than my Atomica of course!). It looks like 2011 could be a killer year for big collections.

I really want that Bone color edition but may have to hold off on it. Something else looks like it's going to be taking my disposable income that collected editions usually go to. Not that it's a bad thing. No sirree!

The Kamandi Omnibus has me super jazzed too! Since DC stopped doing them in Archives I was hoping they'd do them in their Omnibus run and it looks to be win-win for sure!

Yeah,I also saw another tweet by Doc talking about an Omnibus days ago,this would be a dream, I only have a few of the issues of both series,I would so like if the first 14 issues of Xforce along with Xstatix is collected as well,

i saw it today on amazon.co.uk! listed as coming in november 2011, very very excited about seeing the artwork blown up to omnibus size!

(and the news got me to come back here on the boards, so yay for that as well)

24 issues of x-statix x 23 pages = 552
13 issues of x-force x 23 = 299
6 issues of dead girl (?) + 2 issues of Doop x23 = 184

that's 1034! plus some extra-sized issues, that still lives a LOT of space for extras
