 Here in my car...
My latest musical interests have followed me in my travels as I spend what feels like 75% of my week in my car jetting back and forth between work, home, and campus.
So far I've discovered that I love Spoon, The Smiths, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and The Decemberists. Some new and some old. There is so much I could say about music and the individual songs that elate me but I'll spare the board.
Time to go drive some more. I think tonight I'll listen to Tom Wait's "Alice."
Night, y'all.

Yes! "Alice"! And for more of that same action... almost as if it's on the same album but a seperate disc, listen to "Blood Money". They were released on the same day, so it's like a double album!

Am I just now reading into this thread title as a Gary Newman reference?

 Re: Here in my car...
It's one thing I miss about not commuting, it creates a different kind of listening experience. It seems like I used to get to know albums better when I was isolated in a car with them.
On the other hand, my old bus commute was when I read a ton of books.
Now I just sit around with no pants on.

 Re: Here in my car...
The problem with all that is of course that he gets used to it a little too much. Sure in pictures at cons you see Jamie in his sharp shirt/jacket/tie combo sitting behind the table, but there at the show? No pants.

And yet another thread* hijacked by the absence of Jamie's pants.
(*this is the only one that I know of, but there must be more)

I've heard from Jamie's neighbors that lately he's been cranking up his stereo really loud and playing Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock n' Roll" for some reason. Just saying.
