 Re: Green Lantern
The only rings i own are the plastic promo rings that have been given out over time. I actually wish i still had the one they gave out in the mid to late nineties, with the glowing center. If DC direct comes out with a really nice movie version and i like the movie, i will probably get one.

 Re: Green Lantern
I might have a spare one of those. I'll dig around. They are very big and chunky. If I do come across an extra, I'll put it aside and get it to you at SDCC next year.

 Re: Green Lantern
That would be great! I don't have a ticket though. I am working on it however.

 Re: Green Lantern
We'll figure something out. If you wind up not going I'll pop it in the mail or something.

 Re: Green Lantern
I've got one of those big, chunky ones too! It's pretty well worn out, though. I used to wear it all the time in high school. No wonder I was so popular with the ladies... !
If they release a nice, non-plastic version of the ring in the movie I'm sure I"ll try to get it. I've got the freebies they've given out over the years, including at cons and with figures along with the Blackest Night set that lights up and the ring bust of Hal. The best set is the Planet Krypton one with several versions but they're a little small.
The light up ones are pretty fun.

 Re: Green Lantern
One of the employees at the local comic shop has a custom fit GL ring that was offered by DC Direct a year or two ago. It's extremely nice and according to him, he gets offers to sell it all the time. But he's been a die-hard fan of Hal Jordan since he was five and has three GL-related tattoos that I bet the guy's going to be buried with it.

I don't know what I'll do when Lauren and I get married because I don't dig wearing rings or watches for lengths of time. Get used to it, I guess.

 Re: Green Lantern
you'll get used to it, man. i have never in my life worn jewelry, even a watch but after about a week (the first time i got married) i didn't even realize it was there. second time i got married it only took about 2 days, after having gone 6 years without a ring on. but the second one i got this really great, very thin silver band that is really low profile. cliche but true, it feels more peculiar not having my ring off than it does on

 Re: Green Lantern
I just woke up and must relate my dream:
I had a Green Lantern ring and it worked. I had to really concentrate to use it, though. Pour my will into it and all that. I did alot of flying around, mostly. Helped somebody hold up some really heavy shelves before they fell and made a big mess. Walked through a wall at one point.
Silliness. Beats dreams about zombies biting my rear.
