Post The Big Bang Theory
Anybody else watch this? Lauren got me hooked on it. Tonight's episode was better than most of them have been this season. It brought the tension level between Leonard and Penny up a little... but it's this slow build that's killing me. Just get on with it already!

it's one of the few shows i watch week to week. last nights was one of the better ones this season. the entire series has been kind of up and down, with (i think) last season being the low point so far. i mean, i like the show far more than i don't like it, otherwise i wouldn't watch it. but my worry is that it's nearing the point that most sitcoms eventually do, where pretty much anything that can be done has been done and it either descends into pure silliness as the plots try to stay original but instead end up being too over the top and goofy or it becomes repetitive, rehashing old plots just to keep going.

wow, i really sound like i don't like the show, but nothing could be farther from the truth. i'm just really bad sick is all...

Josh - get well soon! I'm in a weird place with it, myself. When I watch it, I can feel the writing staff pulling at it in different directions. You can tell there's tried-and-true sitcom staffers on board, like when a lame joke gets repeated over and over, laugh-track blaring each time. I've even seen a shot of Seldon just sitting there by himself, doing nothing, and heard the laugh-track kick in. But there's also some very sharp and original writers on board as well, who help make the show a sharp, quick-paced, intelligent affair.

I'm torn on the cast, as well. I feel like Johnny Galecki is playing up the old-fashioned stereotype of the nerd, playing it a little too Jerry Lewis...he's doing nerd-face, basically. But the other three are great. And I love the attention to detail they give to a lot of the super-science comedity.

And, I'm really nit-picking it. It's better than 95% of what's on tv now, so that's saying something. I guess I'm just more critical of things that I like. But I do honestly feel an uneasy sense of struggle from behind-the-scenes when I watch it, it's weird.

I absolutely love this show. Sheldon Cooper has become one of my heroes. I tivo this weekly and buy the boxed sets the day they're released. Seriously haven't dug a 30 minute sitcom like this in ages. It's feel good television.

After watching last weeks episode, I'm really beginning to bore with the show. Maybe it's the less canned-laughter material of stuff like "House" and "Californication" or maybe the same old jokes just aren't funny again. I don't know but I'm really thinking of calling it quits on this one. Anybody else feel that way?
There's been one "really" funny episode to me this year, with Raj and the "Bombay Badonk-a-donks" bit. Other than that, I can't honestly call any of the others to mind.

I like the show. I think I'd really like it if the writing was a bit sharper. As it is it's pleasant but it's a little too 'clean' for me. It reminds me of Power Rangers a little - I mean each character has a real stylised look which for me kind of detracts from them being slightly nerdy genius outsiders, when they can all still pick out perfectly colour coordinated outfits.

it goes back and forth for me. i think i still watch as faithfully as i do because it's a light hearted bright spot late in the week to kind of look forward to, plus i just got my best friend in to it, so it would be weird for me to abandon it. actually i guess i still enjoy it enough that i don't feel like i'm wasting the 22 minutes it takes to watch, but i'd like more nerdity and less relationshipy stuff. it's in no way bad, but it's kind of pedestrian anymore

I enjoyed tonight's episode. It felt like they were going somewhere again. Progression and stuff.
