Thumbs Up with David Choe
been watching this on Netflix Instant view the last couple of days. it's a miniseries (i think it was a webseries originally) about artist David Choe and his nephew Harry Kim traveling across America from LA to New York by hopping trains, hitch hiking, begging rides or floating rivers. however they can ride for free. he talks to a lot of people along the way and generally runs all around acting up and stuff. i'm totally fascinated by it. it's 9 episodes (so far) and evidently that encompasses seasons 1 & 2. the only thing i haven't liked about it so far is that season 1 just stops with no real ending, and just when they were going to New Orleans.
i was originally curious because of David Choe's comic book connections, but now i'd watch it regardless. don't even care if the guy had never even had anything to do with comics at all. overall i'd rank it a Check It Out.
