Post Criterion DVDs and Blu Ray discs 50% off at Barnes and Noble
Until the 21st of November both online and in store. I finally picked up Brazil and For All Mankind yesterday and may go back for that art house classic Robinson Crusoe on Mars. Pity the Criterion Blu Ray set I really want isn't out until the 23rd (America Lost & Found). Maybe I can pre-order for the 50% off! :D

All the preorders are normal price unless coming out before the end of the sale on the 21st. I am guessing there was some anticipation that the boxed set would be too popular at this price and that it would be throwing cash away.

I need a handful of things, like the Kurosawa Eclipse, but am waiting to see if I can score Night of the Hunter or Modern Times for review before doing my order.

By the way, also worth noting that these folks are also 50% off right now:

http://www.oscilloscope.net/

Oscilloscope is a great newer distributor, partially run by Adam Yauch from the Beastie Boys. Their packages are amazing, and they have great taste in movies. I will likely pick up their John Cazale documentary, I Knew it Was You, along with my Criterions. Other movies of theirs I've actually reviewed:

You know, there was one other disc that I was thinking about getting. It wasn't the Samurai Trilogy box set (although that's great). Man, I wish I could remember what it was. I'm going to have to head over there again and take a look. But I can't be too bad, I've got a trip to the Bay Area coming up!

Just remembered - Breathless! That's it! Yeah - should grab that too!
