 Doctor Who Season Six
It's been a few days, so I think it's safe to post, and since it airs on the same day in the UK and the US, we can be spoilerific about the whole thing. Eugy, you may want to avert your eyes if you're waiting for the Australia broadcasts. So, what did everyone think? Opening up the show with on location filming in Utah and over at the shores of Lake Powell was great. However, I think that River Song is bound and determined to keep the Doctor from wearing any sort of hat whatsoever.

 Re: Doctor Who Season Six
I had the unfortunate luck of a storm knocking out my power twenty minutes into the episode so I only saw up until Nixon catches the Doctor writing down notes in the Oval Office. However what little I saw had me hooked and I can't wait to see who the Astronaut is, what the aliens are up to, what was the older Doctor's reasoning behind recruiting them, and what the deal with the child on the telephone is all about (if any or all of that wasn't already explained later in the episode.) Favorite moment (thus far): the fact the prison where River Song is staying goes on red alert just because she's packing. She hasn't left yet - she's just packing.

Never mess with River Song. That's what I've learned over the past couple seasons. It also shows that River stays in that prison because she chooses to. If you have it, check your OnDemand - Comcast has the show there so you can re-watch it before Saturday. I believe iTunes also has it for rent for a mere 99 cents. A bargain.

And they'll be showing it right before the new episode as well, if anyone missed it.
Best moment for me (and I don't see how they can beat it):
"Have we done Jim the Fish yet?" (although the Easter Island gag was pretty good, too.)

 Re: Doctor Who Season Six
It didn't even occur to me to check out iTunes. Thanks Brian! Not only did I purchase the episode but I was able to download the prequel and a bunch of behind-the-scenes clips as well.
Okay, now that I'm up to speed I have to say the second half was intense. Some of my questions were answered but I'm left with more questions now. And is it odd that both Amy AND River were complaining of stomach pains? I see why Amy is but River?
The Jim the Fish remark was great ("still building his dam") but I think runner up is "The legs, the nose, and Mrs. Robinson".

Skestra - You're welcome! If you don't have BBC America, I guess you can rent the show cheaply enough, and in HD!
Count - I saw that, it's an interesting chart, but I wonder if River and the Doctor truly are seeing each other in reverse order, or if she's just making a grand, romantic exaggeration of the situation and they're encountering each other at random times. I noticed the Doctor now has a diary of his own, or his future self does.

Odds are I'm the last to have seen this but in case anybody hasn't viewed it, here's the prequel to the upcoming pirate episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m3-eWeR ... re=related

 Re: Doctor Who Season Six
Okay gentlemen, you know I'm trying to catch up here with Doctor Who's long history. There's been a few disturbing things I've encounter that I've accepted as being with the times. It's all good. But you could have at least WARNED ME about "K-9 and Company"! Why didn't any of you WARN ME?!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hu7OiJpnlUsThat opening traumatized me. I wept like a baby. I had no one to take the pain away.
