Post Wonder Woman
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet...how 'bout we get this topic a rollin'!

Quote:
Adrianne Palicki is NBC's new Wonder Woman

Warner Bros. Pictures and NBC have traveled to their recent past by choosing a former NBC series star as their new "Wonder Woman." After a recent round of casting choices, the two producers have announced "Friday Night Lights" co-star Adrianne Palicki as the latest to don the outfit for their upcoming new pilot.

With the first episode set to be directed by Jeffrey Reiner---a frequent "Friday Night Lights" director---it gives some cohesion between the incoming new leading lady and the TV helmer. It's also a victory of sorts for Palicki, who was in the running to play the Amazonian heroine back when Warner Bros. Pictures wanted to take on a Justice League movie. David E. Kelley is writing and will executive produce.

The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a/k/a Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

Oh NBC...you just don't learn do you...

Post Re: Wonder Woman
Actually this pickup comes after NBC (and everyone else) turned it down. With the new Kabletown-based management regime in place, nothing else in the pipeline at the network and the David E Kelly name they took a second look and thought "What the hey?" Pilots are cheap (comparatively) I would suspect. They can always reject it if they don't like it and that will be the end of it (except for the part where it will then live forever on the Internets as a copy will leak out for everyone to watch. ;)

NBC was so much cooler when the Sheinhardt Wig Company owned them.

:-)

Tee hee!
