 The Jonathan Truimvirate
that sounds like a Big Bang Theory title for an episode, which is a way good show,But I digress, I am talking about the 3 brilliant Jonathan scribes in literature,
Jonathan Ames Jonathan Franzen Jonathan Lethem
both Ames and Lethem have done graphic novels recently and contributed in one way or another, and are fantastico, They're writing is so diverse and profoundly cool,
and not to mention that one has a successful TV show about to enter into a 3rd season, It's hard to pick one from the bunch as they are equally good, though Ames strikes my fancy,
What's not to Like is the best book of all 3,and indeed what's not to like about them ?
anyone else read anything by them ?
peace.

 Re: The Jonathan Truimvirate
Don't forget the Jonathan Sample; perhaps this boards favorite Jonathan of all time (well, except for perhaps Jonathan "Commander Ryker" Frakes but he'd just barely be above Sample.)

 Re: The Jonathan Truimvirate
Sample writes better than Frakes, and doesn't make me feel icky. Sample it is!

I'll gladly accept being just under "Creepy Uncle Riker," as my wife refers to him. Also, Christian, I avoid the icky stuff just for you, my friend. Things could be worse. My writing's amateurish and scattered, though. I'm working on it. Now I just tend to write things that might be comparable to parodying popular ads by adding religious overtones. Stuff like this version of a well known tag line from Ford: "Have you driven the Lord lately?" The faithful will buy anything, I tell ya! Speaking of writing, and work, I guess here is as good a place as any to announce to you my friends and fellow comic fans that I will FINALLY be releasing a Zine this May. I'm looking at a 300 issue print run distributed locally to the Grand Rapids, MI area, but I would love to send my fellow Allred-appreciating friends a free copy if they're interested!

This is great news! I'd definately be interested in a copy although I'm more than willing to pay for any expenses.

 Re: The Jonathan Truimvirate
I be wanting a copy too. I just tonight learned how to combine jpg's into one pdf file; just saying that could save you a lot of dough for shipping. I'm also willing to pay shipping/zine prices too.

 Re: The Jonathan Truimvirate
I will gladly share my work for no charge with my fellow Allred fans. I'll post an update when I get the primary copy to the printer. Josh, thanks for the support. I'm really excited to kick this pig, so to speak, since it's been hiding behind the shed for a long time with constant fears of being kicked. Sorry....that metaphor went off a bit. Anyway, thanks, all!
